INTRODUCTION
Panama-Buena Vista Union School District is inviting suppliers and subcontractors to submit bid proposals for the Sandrini Elementary School – New Portable Classrooms project. The project is located at 4100 Alum Avenue, Bakersfield, CA.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This project consists of a modernization per the DSA-approved plans and specifications dated 10/8/24.   

This is a Multiple Prime contract bid to Panama-Buena Vista Union School District, MWC is the Construction Manager. Plans, specs, and all Addenda must be reviewed and incorporated into each bid. The following are the bid packages associated with this project:

SPC – 01            DEMOLITION:  C-21 or C-22 License Requirement

SPC – 02            EARTHWORK & PAVING:  C-12 or A License Requirement

SPC – 03            SITE/BUILDING CONCRETE: A, C-8, B License Requirement

SPC – 04            GENERAL SPECIALTIES:  B License Requirement

SPC – 05            PLUMBING/SITE UTILITIES:  C-36 License Requirement

SPC – 06            ELECTRICAL/LOW VOLTAGE:  C–10 License Requirement

SPC – 07            LANDSCAPE/IRRIGATION: C–27 License Requirement

 

All bids need to include all proper bid docs as called out in the Notice to Contractors & Instructions to Bidders.

Mandatory Pre Bid Meeting

To be eligible to bid this project, all bid packages must attend one of the Mandatory Job Walks. 

 

First Meeting:

Tuesday, March 25th, at 10:00 am at Louise Sandrini Elementary School, 4100 Alum Avenue, Bakersfield, CA (Administration Building).

 

Second meeting:

Wednesday, April 2nd, at 10:00 am at Louise Sandrini Elementary School, 4100 Alum Avenue, Bakersfield, CA (Administration Building).

 

This project is subject to Pre-Qualification pursuant to AB 1565 of all general contractors and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors.  If required, a Prequalification package may be obtained by downloading the necessary forms from https://www.pbvusd.k12.ca.us/departments/business-services/facilites-planning-construction/vendor-information.  A bid package will not be accepted from any bidder that is required to submit a completed questionnaire and supporting documents pursuant to AB 1565, but has not done so at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids or that has not been prequalified for at least five (5) business days prior to that date.
